Lana Barić is one of the most awarderd Croatian actresses. In 2005 she earned her acting degree from the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo. Since 2011 she has been a member of the drama ensemble at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. She has acted in more than forty stage productions and in as many films and TV series, receiving numerous awards and accolades. She has written several screenplays for short films as well as the screenplay for the feature film Tereza37, which won her the Golden Arena for Best Screenplay at the 2020 Pula Film Festival. The film also won an additional five Golden Arenas, including the Grand Golden Arena for Best Festival Film and was an official Croatian entry for the Academy Awards. The short film Snow White is her directorial debut and it screened at around 50 film festivals. She also wrote the screenplay and played the lead role. Currently, she's working on her directorial feature debut called Eve after the Fall which she developed at Torino Film Lab and EAVE professional training for project development. The film already received support from the Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC) and is in a pre-production phase.At the same time, she’s developing her second feature Tibidabo at Less is More film development lab. She was a vicepresident of Croatian Filmmakers Association from 2018 till 2022 and a member of Croatian Audiovisual Council at the Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC).
Born in Croatia, lives in The Netherlands. Head of the Documentary Competition at the Sarajevo Film Festival. Programmer of the Documentary Competition at Trieste Film Festival, collaborated for 15 years on the selection of films at the IDFA Amsterdam. Takes part on selection of the DOHA film fund as well as IDFA Bertha Fund. Lecturer at the Master of film in Amsterdam and is mentor at various documentary workshops in Europe and Asia. She is the Artistic director of Eastern Neighbours FF in The Hague. 13 years ago started and co-heads Docu Rough Cut Boutique (BDC and Sarajevo FF) and at WEMW at Trieste leads for 10 years Last Stop Trieste platform for projects in fine cut stage. Worked as a program advisor for IFFR Rotterdam from 2000-2020. Directed several dox and short films screened (and awarded) at around 60 film festivals in Europe, Asia, America, including MoMa in New York. Served on more than 50 juries around the world. Member of NETPAC and European Film Aacademy where she served as a selector and a juror for three years. Collaborated on books on cinema in the USA, the UK, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and India. Lived in India where she was teaching at the Sristi, Bangalore.
Regular mentor at Vision du Reel Nyon Lab, BDC Discoveries platform, Docs to Go , Poland and is one of founders and selectors of Doku Art Bjelovar.
Born in 1968 in Belgrade. Studied Sociology at Philosophy faculty and graduated at Film editing sdepartment at FDU. Author of over 20 experimental and documentary films, which were shown and screened at festivals in the country and around the world. Experimental film Death of Metalosaurus has been curated for largest retrospective of Experimental film from Eastern Europe (1960-90.) presented in National Gallery of the Arts, Washington DC, USA, 2013, and Brooklyn Academy, NY 2014, Fascinations, Jihlava 2019.
He is a member of AFUN, UFUS and the Association DOK Serbia. Sscholarship holder of the Goethe Institute (Berlinale for film experts) and "Dante Alighieri" University in Reggio Calabria 2005. Founder of film production Zero, which produced a number of short and feature-length experimental and documentary films. Jury member and selector comitee member of various film festivals, including 70th Belgrade documentary and short film festival-Martovski, 51st Roshd, Tehran; 8th ARUFF short film festival, Istanbul; 6th HFF, Rijeka; 8th Cinema City, Novi Sad.... Diocumentary program selector of the Palić European Film Festival since 2008. Member of MIOB network. Artistic director of the DOK #4 festival since 2019, program director of the music docs Dok'n'Ritam festival since 2016, and the Silent film festival Silence is Golden since 2021. Program selector of the IPA project FILMY Serbia-Hungary, 2019-22.Lecturer during History-Film-History 2023 international conference in Tbilisi, Georgia. He has been working as an editor of the film program of the Cultural Center "Student City" since 1994.
