SUMMARY

At first, this is a story of a betrayal: May 2015, Colonel Khalimov, head of Tajikistan Special Forces, joined ISIS. A dramatic defection that illustrates the upheavals at work in Central Asia. Since the defeat of the Islamic state in Syria and Iraq, are we witnessing the creation of a new war front of armed Jihadism in this region?

Director Biography

GULYA MIRZOEVA born and raised in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, studied Literature and Cinema in Moscow. She participated in Literature reviews and directed her first movies for Studios Tajikfilms and the Russian television. In 1992, she settled in France where, simultaneously with her writing works and teaching lessons, she directed several documentaries for France Televisions and ARTE. With her films, " Mikhail Gorbachev, confidential", "Afghanistan 1979: the war that changed the world", or "The Scientist, the Impostor and Stalin: How to Feed the People", Gulya Mirzoeva explores USSR History.
