Director Biography
HYUNG-SUK KIM joined KBS January 1, 1993 and developed his career as TV producer mainly around making historical films – especially about the Korean War. He served as KBS PD Correspondent in Tokyo, Japan from 2010 to 2013.Mr. Kim co-directed „20th Century Korean History - the Liberation“ (Gran Prix Korea Broadcasting Prizes by Korean Broadcasting Assocition for the category of TV factual), documentary series „The Korean War“ (2000), KBS Special „Jeungdo Life“ (2008, Gran Prix at ETNO FILM CADCA Award 2008), documentary series „Special Project "The Korean War" (2010) and „Science and Civilization in Korea“ (2016, Best Program of the Month by Korea Communications Standards Commission).
