Davide Skerlj


Davide Skerlj was born in Trieste (Italy) in 1963 and graduated in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice in 1986.

From 1991 to 2002 he lived between Trieste and New York, working for non-profit video and contemporary art organizations (Downtown Community–TV, 817 Film /videoart, New York Soho art magazine, 8th Floor Gallery, Juliet Art Magazine). In 2002 he returned to Trieste where he lives and works at present.

Skerlj works on contemporary art projects in the field of community –based social art, experimental video, contemporary art, participates in Italian and international projects, group exhibitions, and realizes solo exhibitions (installations, video, etc.).

Morana Komljenovic

Filmmaker / Producer / Acquisition Manager

Morana Komljenović is a freelance producer, film and media expert and acquisition manager. Even though she holds a degree in philosophy and social sciences, film is her passion. For years, she proudly bared the role of Head producer of acclaimed Fade In production. She works as an independent expert for Asian Network of Documentaries and as acquisition manager and producer for Taskovski films from London and is currently directing a documentary TV series and a feature documentary. In twenty years of professional filmmaking, production and distribution she produced films presented at worldwide film festivals (“So not you”, “Sick”, “Gangster of love”, “Bosanoga” and many others). She embodies the best qualities of all parties – the filmmaker, producer and the sales agent.

Sabina Briski Karlic

Head of Creative Europe MEDIA sub-programme

Sabina Briški Karlić is the Head of the MEDIA Desk Slovenia and the co-founder of the Motovila, Center for Promotion of Cooperation in Cultural and Creative Sectors, based in Ljubljana. She has 9 years of experience in training, networking and organizing activities and events dedicated to empowering the representatives of the culture and creative sectors, with special focus on the audiovisual field. Her main focus is facilitating international connections and equipping audiovisual and other cultural operators with the necessary skills to successfully access the opportunities available within the EU and other international mechanisms. Before entering audiovisual sector to specialise in the respective EU programmes and policies, she graduated from communication sciences and worked on film and music festivals and in tourism.

Vanni D'Alessio


Vanni D’Alessio is Research Associate at the Department of Social Sciences of the University of Naples, where he also teaches Modern History. At the University of Rijeka he collaborates with the Center for Advanced Studies – South Eastern Europe (CAS, SEE) and holds the course of “Multiethnic cities in Contemporary History” at the Department of History. He is a published author of historical books and essays. With Sanja Puljar he has filmed two ethnographic films: ”Around Mostar, The Bridge and Bruce Lee” and ”Pescatori di Mergellina”. He is presently working with the University of British Columbia on a crowdsourcing historical digital map on Rijeka, which is already available on the internet (https://rijekafiume.geolive.ca/).

Vladimir Brnardic

Journalist & editor at HRT, documentary department

Vladimir Brnardić graduated history in Faculty of philosophy in Zagreb in 1997 and since then he works as journalist and editor in Documentary department of Croatian television.  He worked as a journalist and editor in redaction of TV Kalendar and as screenwriter and director realised many documentary historical movies (Nebeski vitezovi slavonske ravni, Dva ratna druga, Alka, U boj).
