Anna Ferens is an award-winning Polish documentary director, screenwriter, producer and journalist with Master’s Degree in Journalism and Political Science from Warsaw University. She also studied Serbo-Croatian at the Warsaw University and Advertising for Business at the French Institute of Government in Warsaw. Some of her most acclaimed films include ‘’Three Buddies’’ (2008), ‘’What Can Dead Prisoners Do?’’ (2010), ‘’I Saw a Nation United’’ (2011) and ‘’The Art of Survival’’ (2012).
Anna Ferens has been Head of Documentary Films Production Unit of TVP (Polish public TV) since 2016. She was also a member of the Jury at Planete Doc Review Film Festival in Warsaw and Europaisches Dokumentarfilm Festival in Neubrandenburg, among others.
Ferens’ probing and often controversial films have received awards at the European Crossroads Festival (2006), the Chicago International Television Awards (2007), the New York Polish Film Festival (2008), the Roma Fiction Fest Award (2009), and the Restored Memory Film Festival (2010), among other festivals.
Greg Fox is a Canadian camera/Steadicam operator and Director who has lived in Vancouver, Canada since 1966. He has been residing in Zagreb, Croatia since August 2018 with his wife, who is on a political posting, and family. Greg has been an avid photographer and filmmaker since early childhood. He attended Emily Carr University for photography and then transferred to Simon Fraser University to concentrate on Film and Communications. Since leaving University in 1989 he has been employed in Vancouver primarily as a camera operator. He has also directed dramatic productions, commercials and rock videos. Greg is honored to be a part of the History Film Festival in Rijeka.
Ksenija Zubković was born in Rijeka. She holds a degree in Cultural Studies from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Ljubljana. Shortly before and after finnishing her studies, she had been collaborating with various media from Croatia and Slovenia in the field of culture, including portal Planet Siol.net, cultural weekly Pogledi of Ljubljana’s Delo newspaper and the magazine for cinema and cinematic Kino!. She is the author and co-author of translations of more scientific and other texts, mostly in the field of Human and Social Sciences. She was leading the first season of film club within the Balassi cultural institute in Ljubljana and collaborating with festivals and institutions such as Kinodvor, Mesto žensk festival, Kino Otok festival etc. Since 2013 she has been working at the Slovenian Film Centre, a public agency of Slovenia, where she is in charge of developing film culture.
Director, screenwriter and producer from Zagreb. She graduated in Production from the Academy of Dramatic Arts, as well as Economics at the University of Zagreb. She has worked for many years in the non-governmental sector on dialogue development projects in conflict regions. She started her professional career by working in PR and acting in theaters in Croatia and abroad. She was employed by several production companies as a producer.
She has produced several successful documentaries and feature films and numerous advertising spots. She has worked in various positions in teams of feature, animated and documentary films and film festivals. As a guest lecturer in the field of production and directing audiovisual forms, she has taught at colleges and secondary schools in Croatia and abroad.
With her directorial debut “GOLI“, she won the Heart of Sarajevo for Best Documentary Film and a number of other international awards and honors. As a director, screenwriter and executive producer, she has worked on several documentaries for the Croatian Radio-Television.
As a freelance filmmaker, she is a member of the Croatian Association of Independent Artists, the Society of Croatian Film Directors and the Croatian Society of Film Professionals. She lives and works in Zagreb.
Born in Zagreb, she lives and works in Rijeka, Berlin and Zagreb. She studied film editing at the Academy of Theater, Film and Television, Zagreb, and did her Postgraduate studies in film, video and multimedia at Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Media Lab. Harvard School of Education.
As an image and sound editor, she has worked on many long and short feature films, documentary television productions, commercials and music videos.
As an artist, she produced numerous works shown in group and solo exhibitions in the field of video art, interactive and multimedia installations.
She is a member of the Croatian Society of Fine Artists (HDLU) in Zagreb and VideAert / Multimedia e.V. Berlin (VKMM).
